Why do you need to use a Registered Builder for your pool and landscape in Melbourne? The building industry in the state of Victoria is regulated by the Victorian Building Authority (VBA). The VBA’s purpose is to promote building practices that protect the safety and health of you, the consumer.

In Victoria, building practitioners must be registered to:

  • perform domestic building work that costs more than $10,000 (including labour and materials)
  • carry out re-blocking, restumping or demolishing work, remove a home, or carry out any building work that requires a permit, regardless of cost
  • provide more than one type of building work (such as plastering and painting) that costs more than $10,000 (including labour and materials).

Be sure to engage a registered builder when carrying out these types of building work. This will ensure your project is completed by someone with the necessary qualifications and expertise. All registered building practitioners are issued with a Photo ID card that lists the type of work they are eligible to do. You can also check if a builder or company is registered by using the VBA directory here > find a practitioner.

37 South Pools are a proud Registered Builder, all our work is driven by quality and excellence, to enhance your outdoor living experience. We are a boutique concrete pool design and construction company, building a maximum of 16-20 pools per year to ensure an exceptional quality of finish for every project.
